Possession Limits:

The state has revised its possession limits for adults aged 21 and older. While the previous limit was one ounce of flower, the new regulations allow individuals to possess up to two ounces of cannabis flower. Concentrates also has a limit upgrade. From a 3.5 gramsof concentrate or concentrate to a 7 grams.This adjustment reflects a growing acknowledgement of the diverse preferences and needs of cannabis consumers.

Cultivation Limits:

Home cultivation has become a popular option for cannabis enthusiasts. Nevada's new regulation permits individuals to cultivate up to six mature plants for personal use, provided they are located in a secure and enclosed space. This change acknowledges the rights of the individuals to cultivate their own cannabis while maintaining safeguards to prevent abuse or illegal distribution.

Dispensary Regulations:

Dispensaries play a crucial role in providing consumers with access to a variety of cannabis products. Nevada has implemented measures to ensure responsible sales and distribution. Dispensaries are now required to adhere to stricter guidelines for product testing and labeling, promotion transparency and consumer safety 

Consumption Lounges:

Las Vegas has heard whispers of dispensaries plans for consumption lounges. Nuwu Dispensary has had one since 2019 and has recently opened up the Sky High Lounge in 2023. It operates under tribal land, so the rules and regulations are a little different. A traditional consumption lounge. One of the major differences between Sky High Lounge and other lounge is the ability to take home what you didn’t consume. Felony?

Before the updated law went into effect on January 1st, 2024, those charged with a felony were not allowed to obtain a CCB issued Agent Card. Which means they couldn't work at a dispensary. The new law allows for past fellows to apply for an Agent Card and must submit to an evaluation by the CCB. If approved, applicants can apply for dispensary/cultivation jobs.
