EVENT SUMMARY
Rockabilly Night was a unique experience, offering much more than just a rock concert. Attendees were treated to a feast of delicious food, live music, and the opportunity to admire vintage cars. To add to the festivities, there were dabs (cannabis concentrate) and canna-cocktails available, creating a nostalgic atmosphere where everyone could fully embrace the spirit of the event by dressing up in their favorite throwback fashion.
The opening acts set the stage for an incredible night of music. Trevor & the Swinging Johnsons, Audrey Deluxe and Madeline Sinclair, Adelia Adelaid, and more took turns captivating the audience with their performances, ensuring that the energy remained high.
The Delta Bombers, known for their soul-stirring live shows and timeless sound, were the highlight of the event. This band, formed during their teenage years in Las Vegas, had been making waves since 2008, performing in various venues across the country. Their hard work finally paid off when they recorded and released their highly anticipated album, "Neon Sounds." This album, produced and mixed by Grammy award-winner Mark Neill, showcased the band's unique style, blending different genres and emphasizing melody and songwriting. The 11 tracks on the album captivated listeners, transporting them to a world where creativity and originality reigned supreme.
Guitarist Andrew Himmler, along with Chris Moinichen (Vocals & Acoustic), Gregorio Garcia (Bass), and P.J. Franco (Drums/Perc, Keys), dedicated themselves to creating music that encompassed their diverse influences, ranging from Cypress Hill and Johnny Cash to The Beatles, Sam Cooke, and Hank Williams. Their goal was to make people dance and have a good time, and "Neon Sounds" accomplished just that with its fresh and expansive sound.
As the event unfolded, attendees immersed themselves in the magic of Rockabilly Night at NUWU. The atmosphere was filled with the electrifying energy of live music, the scent of delicious food, the gleaming presence of vintage cars, and the unmistakable buzz of excitement. People reveled in the nostalgia of the rockabilly scene, dancing and celebrating the summer kickoff in true style.
